Among all the wonderful characters that can be unlocked in Disney Dreamlight Valley, there’s the opportunity to welcome everyone’s favourite eager waste-collecting robot, Wall-E, to your Village. In this how-to unlock Wall-E guide, we’ll take you through everything you need to know to bring this character to the Valley, grow your friendship, and complete his Friendship Quests.
Once you’ve removed the giant night thorns from the Dream Castle entrance, costing 2,000 Dreamlight, you’ll be able to enter and speak to Merlin about unlocking a new Villager. Merlin will give you the chance to visit one of three realms - a desolate planet with a shy robot, a restaurant with a great little chef, or the ocean with a demigod.
For this guide, we’re looking to unlock Wall-E and so picking the ‘desolate planet with a shy robot’ option should be selected here. The door to Wall-E’s realm found to the far left of three options will now be open and can be entered to complete the Wall-E unlock quest. If you choose to unlock Wall-E later in the game, you’ll need to pay 3,000 Dreamlight at his realm door to do so.
How to complete the Wall-E unlock quest
Find a replacement track for Wall-E
First things first, interact with Wall-E to receive your first set of instructions. He’ll inform you that he’s stuck because he has a broken track and that you’ll need to find a replacement for him to move.
To do this, equip your Shovel and use it to dig up any cracked holes of land around the realm until you find a shiny door handle for a fridge. This handle can then be placed on the rusty fridge located near the crafting table. The fridge will then be able to be opened and inside, you’ll find a spare track for Wall-E. Give the item to Wall-E and ta-da, he can move again.
Collect and craft trash cubes for Wall-E
As fans of Wall-E will know, this little robot loves to collect and compact trash. To win over some more of Wall-E’s trust then, he’ll task you with collecting 60 pieces of trash from around the realm and turning them into cubes. To do this, simply roam around the realm picking up trash from each big pile of trash dotted around the place. They aren’t hiding so you’ll quickly have your 60 pieces which you can then use at the crafting table to form your cubes to return to Wall-E.
Grow Wall-E some plants
Much like the movie, Wall-E is dedicated to bringing some green back to the planet. In his realm, he wants you to plant and water eight Special Seeds. Use your Shovel to dig around the area, search through the fridges, and quickly uncover the Seeds ready for planting.
Dig up some soil patches, plant your seeds, and then use your Watering Can on them. They won’t take long to grow and Wall-E will thank you for it.
Bring gifts to Wall-E
Wall-E really needs some convincing to come to your Village and by bringing him gifts from other Villagers, you’ll finally win him over. First, you’ll need to head back to the Valley from the Wall-E realm and speak to Merlin for ideas.
He’ll suggest speaking to Mickey Mouse who will tell you that in his home he has a Bouncy Ball you can have. Head to Mickey’s house and retrieve it.
You’ll also want to speak to Goofy who will suggest a Sprout Boot as he’s found one himself and thinks you can find one by fishing in a nearby pond. Use your fishing rod to retrieve the other Sprout Boot to give to Wall-E.
And finally, you need to speak to Scrooge McDuck who will be open to giving you a Fire Extinguisher in exchange for two Garnets. Garnets can be mined from rock spots in Peaceful Meadow and the Plaza. Once you’ve found them, exchange them with Scrooge McDuck for his Fire Extinguisher.
Take all three gifts back to the Wall-E realm and he’ll finally feel happy to come and join your Village. But there’s one more thing, you’ll need to build his home so he has somewhere to live.
Building Wall-E’s home
Once Wall-E has received his gifts, he’ll give you his home to go and place in your Village. Head back and find a nice spot for his new home. It can be placed by heading to your Furniture inventory and simply putting it down in a spot big enough. You’ll know it will fit when all the boxes appear green and not red.
Once placed, it will become a construction site with a Scrooge McDuck sign. Interact with the sign and pay 2,000 Star Coins in order to complete construction and finally welcome Wall-E to the Village.
Wall-E will now be part of your world and will bring his own Friendship Quests to complete. You’ll also be able to build up your friendship levels, hang out, and bring him daily gifts from his wishlist.
