Publisher Fatshark and developer Blackfox Studios have announced that post-apocalyptic “turn-based skirmish” title Dreadlands is set to enter Steam Early Access next month.
Players will be able to hop into Dreadlands’ shared world and lead their gang of misfits towards bloodshed and victory as soon as March 10.
Dreadlands Steam Early Access
Dreadlands can be described as Borderlands meet XCOM but in a shared world. Players will explore the title’s ruthless zones and encounter other player-led rival gangs which they can battle in turn-based combat.
Dreadlands makes use of a free action point system that lets players decide how their turn plays out. This means that you can choose to shoot twice or shoot before moving if the situation requires it.
The Steam Early Access version of Dreadlands will feature two factions – The Scrappers and the Tribe-kin – for players to base their gangs on, each bringing six units and its own campaign to the table. A third one, the Skarbacks, will make its way into the game in the full version.
Blackfox Studios aims for Dreadlands to spend six months in Steam Early Access. You can wishlist and follow the title on Steam ahead of its launch next month.
