Perhaps the biggest survival title of the year, Dune: Awakening has long been on the radars of series fans who, so far, were forced to turn to books and films for their fill of Frank Herbert’s universe. If you count among those hoping to someday get a bit closer to a sandworm, you’re likely wondering when it is going to be released on Xbox Series X/S.
Dune: Awakening proposes an alternative version of the popular story in which Paul Atreides was never born, Lady Jessica obeyed the Bene Gesserit and gave birth to a girl, and Duke Leto Atreides is still alive. This is the context that sees us taking to the sands of Arrakis to prove our creativity and survival skills.
Dune: Awakening PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Release
Although Dune: Awakening is in development for both consoles, Funcom has not yet shared a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S release date, skipping the platforms when announcing the game’s May PC launch.

It’s unclear whether or not we can still expect the title to reach other platforms this year, but, given how no cancelation announcement was made, it’s safe to assume that work continues on the two other versions.
