Although its most recent delay places its release in a rather busy period, Dying Light 2 is one of the most anticipated titles set to drop next year. Fans of the original should also find the sequel’s approach to post-launch DLC to be largely familiar.
Dying Light 2’s post-launch DLC will feature a variety of content drops that will come in both small and large sizes, according to Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektala.
Dying Light 2 Post-launch DLC
“I don’t want to spill the beans too much but yes there will be huge expansions, and yes there will be a lot of additional drops, free content, additional missions, weapons, and gameplay mechanics that you will be able to get by just investing your time in Dying Light 2 and just being part of the community., he said in an interview with website Push Square.
“So it’s safe to say the model will be very similar.”, he continued.
Although its post-launch DLC will take a similar approach to the original title, Dying Light 2 also puts in the effort to break away from its roots. The sequel will place more emphasis on its narrative and one playthrough will only see players experiencing half of the game.
Dying Light 2 is currently in its “last stage of production and polishing” and is scheduled to launch in Spring 2020.
