Dying Light 2 aims to take the series to new heights, refining and elevating its parkour-infused movement and combat while letting player choices have a visible impact upon its world. This, alongside the prospect of slaughtering many zombies has led fans to wonder about whether or not the game might be coming to Xbox Game Pass or its PC counterpart in 2022.
Dying Light 2’s enemies come in many nasty varieties. Sharper solutions work on some but stealth can also make sure you get out alive in other cases. But its freedom and atmosphere are just some of the reasons why potential Xbox and PC Game Pass subscribers are hoping the game will make it to the service.
Dying Light 2 Xbox Game Pass
The title will launch with co-op support and its availability on Microsoft’s subscription service would make picking it up cheaper than going for a traditional purchase, ensuring an easier way to get friends who might not be too keen on its concept to try it and potentially get hooked.
Unfortunately, there are currently no signs that suggest Dying Light 2 will come to Xbox Game Pass or its PC variant at launch, which is a bit of a bummer.
Of course, this doesn’t completely write off the possibility of seeing the game become available on Microsoft’s subscription service at some point later in 2022. We just don’t know if or when that will happen at the moment, although we are keeping our fingers crossed that Techland will reveal more soon.
The title will also not feature crossplay at launch, but the developer has confirmed that it is “looking very closely at it.” Perhaps, behind the scenes, Xbox Game Pass availability is in a similar spot.
We’ll keep an eye out and update this article as soon as we learn more. Dying Light 2 is slated to launch on February 4, 2022 and headed to PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
