It’s official! EA Play is coming to Xbox Game Pass later this year, giving subscribed users even more games from which to choose.
Xbox Game Pass already has a massive library of games and the prospect of EA Play adding some of the publisher’s biggest releases to the pile will undoubtedly make it an even more appealing proposition.
EA Play is coming to Xbox Game Pass on PC at some point in December, arriving on consoles earlier, on November 10.

This means that simply being subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate ($14.99) or Xbox Game Pass on PC ($4.99) will grant access to EA Play.
Formerly known as EA Access and Origin Access, the subscription service was recently rebranded. Where EA Play costs $4.99 while EA Play Pro will set you back $14.99.
It’s worth keeping in mind that Microsoft only mentioned that EA Play is coming to the Xbox Game Pass which could mean that players will only be getting the lower subscription tier.
Even so, that’ll still get you “over 60 of EA’s biggest and best console and PC games like FIFA 20, Titanfall 2, and Need for Speed Heat, as well as titles from some of EA’s most popular franchises like Battlefield, Mass Effect, Skate, and The Sims”, according to the post announcing the partnership.
Furthermore, Microsoft’s Larry Hryb clarified the situation involving people who are subscribed to both Xbox Game Pass and EA Play with the following:
“Users who have both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play purchased through Xbox will have their EA Play membership canceled and any remaining time over 50 days will be rounded up and converted to the nearest month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 3:1 based on ERP”.
The partnership between Xbox Game Pass and EA Play makes a deal that was already attractive to many even more appealing. With a new console generation on the way and subscription services gaining ground, we could be seeing more of these types of partnerships in the future.
