Learning how to find indigo plants in Enshrouded is essential if you plan on sampling all the craftable goodies the survival game throws your way.
One of many materials found across Embervale, you can stumble upon them after exploring a chunk of the game’s first biome, although you’ll also want to consider an alternative means of production sooner rather than later.
Enshrouded Indigo Plants Locations and uses
We found our first indigo plants in Enshrouded while passing through the Springlands forested location that waits to the northeast of the Ancient Vault which houses the Farmer, one of several recruitable NPCs.
The plant is rather easy to spot partially thanks to its distinct purplish hue, which you’ll find pictured above. The fact that it’s not all that prevalent in the areas we explored previously also helps it stand out from the other flora.
Although there likely are other places across Embervale where you can find indigo plants in Enshrouded, it’s wise to save a few from the first batch you collect, even if going all-out on crafting armor sets does sound tempting.
As soon as you add the first indigo plant to your backpack, you automatically unlock the recipe for indigo seedlings at the seedbed. In case you’re unaware, the seedbed is a structure that you can craft after you rescue the Farmer and provide her with adequate shelter.
At the seedbed, you can use indigo plants, water, and farm soil to obtain indigo seedlings. Tapping into your inner farmer, you can then plant them around your base.
They take some time to grow, but this approach ensures that you can obtain future indigo plants without constantly venturing out into areas where they naturally grow.
That being said, finding them as you organically explore Enshrouded’s world always remains a viable option. The Revelwood biome is normally filled with them.
You’ll need the materials to craft the individual items that make up the Mage armor set, among others.
