In Enshrouded, Metal Scraps are an essential resource for crafting a variety of items, including certain weapons and armour, tools, building equipment, and key quest items such as the Grappling Hook.
Metal Scraps are also crucial for the Iron Forge, where they can be combined with Charcoal to create Metal Sheets. Given their many uses, Metal Scraps are indeed a vital resource, so is there an efficient method to farm them?
Where can you find Metal Scraps in Enshrouded?
Metal Scraps can be found at various places on the map in Enshrouded, and certain enemies that you fight will drop them upon defeat too.
The best places to find them are built-up areas with buildings, and looting enemy camps like Scavenger Camps and Scavenger Stashes, where Metal Scraps will be lying around on benches and other places.
Use your pickaxe to break up metal beds, anything that looks like iron should be breakable, and upon doing so will drop some Metal Scraps. This is useful early on in the game.
There are plenty of enemies to fight in these locations that drop them too. You can revisit them from time to time to farm.
So far, we’ve only discovered Metal Scraps scattered throughout the wilderness, without a known method to craft them.
Unfortunately, we haven’t found a tool capable of breaking down certain items, such as unused weapons, to accumulate a sufficient amount of Metal Scraps as we progress through the game. It might be something Keen Games adds in the future, but for now, you only get runes for leveling up weapons.
