When does Enshrouded Update 6 release and what does it add? Enshrouded developer Keen Games has detailed some of the new content coming to the game in its next free update.
Launching in Early Access last year, Enshrouded has seen five major updates in the past 15 months, with a sixth patch coming in May. Update 6, which is being dubbed “Thralls of Twilight”, features new creepy-crawly enemies, a new weapon, and plenty of gameplay balances.

The new update tweaks the difficulty of the Shroud, making it more dangerous than before with new enemies and risks. However, Keen Games has also added new resources and introduced a new weapons customization mechanic for players to try. It’s also made some changes to the night cycle, with new enemy groups and rewards to be found while exploring in the dark.
Along with this update, Keen Games is celebrating four million players who have played Enshrouded. While the game isn’t quite ready for a 1.0 release, the studio emphasizes that community feedback is important to shaping the game, and it encourages players to continue providing that.
It sits on Steam Early Access with a 86% positive rating from over 66,000 reviews. Meanwhile, the developer is also holding a small sale for the game in case you fancy checking it out. It’ll be 20% off until April 13th.
With it being just over a year of Early Access, Enshrouded is expected to launch a full 1.0 release in Spring 2026.
