Enshrouded was released for PC in early access on January 24th. While PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are in development, they are not expected to be available until at least 2025, when the game launches out of early access.
Enshrouded offers a 16-player co-op survival action RPG experience, where players can join forces to prove their worth in battle, raid, gather treasure, and overcome the Fell hordes that ravage the land.
Checked for updates on 3rd September 2024, nothing new, unfortunately.
Enshrouded Release Date for PS5 and Xbox Series X
Current planned release date for consoles: 2025
Developer Keen Games hasn’t said too much about the development of the console versions of Enshrouded yet, but the team likely wants to get through more of the early access period on PC and gather feedback before committing to a release date for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
“Initially, we will bring it to just Steam, but that doesn’t mean we won’t bring it to other platforms later down the line. We just want our launch to go as smoothly as possible, so for the initial early access release we want only the one platform to worry about.” said community manager KeenToast on Reddit.
The encouraging news is that the project is confirmed and currently under development for both platforms. However, it appears unlikely that it will be released for Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
The console versions were again mentioned during the release of Enshrouded’s Melodies of the Mire update, confirming that console ports are in development and will be released in 2025 when the game exits early access.
We anticipate learning more about the console release dates later this year. Following the launch of the early access version on January 24th, there’s potential for more detailed information to emerge.
The roadmap for 2024 was published on the 13th of March, but it didn’t provide any more details than what we already know.
