Borderlands 3 is easily one of the most anticipated Epic Games Store exclusive titles of the year. With its release date quickly approaching, players worried about its 75 GB size will be happy to hear that pre-loading will be available.
The news that Borderlands 3 will support pre-loads on the Epic Games Store comes from publisher 2K itself, contradicting Epic’s previous statement that the feature simply wouldn’t be ready in time for the game’s release.
Borderlands 3 Pre-load Epic Games Store
“[…] we’re happy to announce that Borderlands 3 will be available for pre-load roughly 48 hours ahead of the launch date and time listed for your region – yes, that includes PC!”, publisher 2K said in a press release.
Back in August, Tim Sweeney stated that the Epic Games Store would not have support for pre-loading in time for Borderlands 3’s release. Things have, clearly, changed since, and that’s ultimately a win for anyone looking to (hopefully) high-five Claptrap once more on launch day.
2K also shared the release times for Borderlands 3 today. Depending on where you are, you might have to skip some sleep if you’re aiming for that sweet world-first level 2 trophy.
