Why are the Escape from Tarkov servers down for Maintenance? That’s the big question on all fans’ lips right now. The servers certainly don’t seem to be working, so what is the current Server Status? Is developer Battlestate Games currently working on getting it back online?
You may have also received a Connection Lost Error if you’ve been trying to play the game. This could signify connectivity problems. So, is Escape from Tarkov down for maintenance? And if so, why? We’ve got the answers below.
Escape from Tarkov Server Status
The Escape from Tarkov servers are currently offline, as scheduled maintenance is underway in preparation of update 0.12.7.8599 going live.
“The installation of the update 0.12.7.8599 has begun. The game will be unavailable for 2 hours approximately”, reads a recent tweet.

That being said, players have reported the Connection Lost Error even outside of maintenance times.
From what we can tell, the Connection Lost Error has something to do with the Escape from Tarkov servers, although what exactly is hard to say at the moment. Players seem to bump into it randomly and there’s no consistent pattern to attach to it. Furthermore, developer Battlestate Games hasn’t shared a fix for the Connection Lost Error.
We’ll keep you posted on any other Escape from Tarkov server maintenance schedules that might be coming up over the coming months, so please keep us bookmarked for the latest information.
