Publisher and developer Rockfish Games today announced that sci-fi action-RPG Everspace 2 has locked down its console release date to the middle of August.
Having launched on PC in early April, Everspace 2 has sold more than 350,000 copies and attracted the attention of over 120,000 PC Game Pass subscribers.
Everspace 2 Console Release Date
The sequel moves away from the original’s roguelike focus, leaning more into open-world elements while featuring a 30-hour single-player campaign.
Current-gen console owners can explore more than 100 handcrafted locations across multiple star systems while blasting apart opponents and chasing down better equipment for their ship.
The title is also set to arrive on Xbox Game Pass next month and will benefit from Play Anywhere support.
If you’re picking it up on PS5, you’ll find that it takes full advantage of DualSense controller haptic feedback, adaptive trigger, and speaker features.
Everspace 2 is set to release on both Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on August 15, 2023, for the price of $49.99/£44.99/€49.99. PS5 users can already pre-order it from the console’s storefront, benefitting from a 20% discount.
Developer Rockfish Games is also working with publisher Maximum Games to bring Everspace 2’s Stellar Edition to both consoles on October 3, 2023.
This physical collector’s package includes a steelbook case featuring the game’s key art alongside a 64-page mini artbook and digital version of the title’s original soundtrack.
