Publisher and developer Rebellion today released a new trailer for Evil Genius 2: World Domination that shines the spotlight on the four playable villains who act as your avatars in your not-so-honorable pursuits.
We’ve already seen the two returning baddies, Red Ivan and Maximilian, and got a sense of what they excel at, but this recent trailer gives us a refresher on their playstyles while properly introducing Emma and Zalika to us.
Evil Genius 2’s latest trailer describes Red Ivan as a “heavy muscle madman” with a love for rockets and a heavy dislike for compassion. He’s quite fond of having lots of Muscle minions around and generally favors a direct and preferably explosive approach to solving problems.
Emma might be a newcomer to the series but she’s been through enough during her past life as a spymaster. As a genius that’s also evil, she rests atop her spider chair from where she guides her minions and gets rid of unwanted attention using small spider drones that release deadly gas. Seeking revenge and disliking the entire world, she favors stealth and deception over anything else.
Zalika’s love for science means that players who choose her can zap foes with high-tech lasers, send efficient nano-drones to repair their lair, and have a grand time researching different advancements for their base.
Lastly, Maximilian is a familiar face and Evil Genius 2’s all-rounder. While he might not focus on any one of the three areas that his peers are fond of, he doesn’t provide a more balanced approach to gameplay. In case that sounds a bit vanilla, he also wants to turn as many things as possible into gold.
