Bethesda today revealed the Fallout 76 2020 roadmap, outlining the future content that its online survival RPG is set to receive throughout the year.
The Fallout 76 2020 roadmap features a number of new additions like Seasons and daily missions, being announced as the title prepares for its first free weekend of the year.
Fallout 76 2020 Roadmap
With Spring being dedicated to the launch of its Wastelanders update, Fallout 76’s 2020 roadmap spreads its content across Summer, Fall and Winter.
Summer will mark the introduction of in-game Seasons. “Each season brings a new progression of challenges to complete, plus exclusive rewards like Atom Bundles, Perk Card packs, and unique cosmetics.”, reads the Fallout 76 2020 roadmap.
Also slated for a Summer release are high-level legendary perks, public teams, a new legendary boss event, community challenges, the return of Fasnacht and the Meat Week event.
The Fall section of the Fallout 76 2020 roadmap promises rebalanced combat and rewards that scale to the player’s level. This is also when the Steel Dawn questline will be added, alongside Daily Ops that also feature scaling rewards.
Season 2 kicks off during Fall, which is also when the Bombs Drop event will take place.
Winter will see the Brotherhood of Steel arriving in Appalachia, as the Steel Dawn story arc continues. This will also bring new NPCs, quests and companions.
Also slated for a Winter release, the Fallout 76 2020 roadmap lists Perk Loadouts – which should make build customization easier –, instanced C.A.M.P interiors and new repeatable missions called Expeditions.
Rounding off the Winter content are Season 3, new Daily Ops and the Holiday Scorched event.
Fallout 76’s standard edition will be discounted both during and after the free week event kicking off today.
