Crafting is an integral part of Fallout 76 and there is a multitude of reagents that players can chase down. Some, like the glowing resin are even useful in crafting more than just one type of item.

Fallout 76 Glowing Resin
Glowing resin can be used when crafting a number of different consumables, such as syrup or vodka, or, more importantly, in crafting some of Fallout 76’s higher-level weapon mods.
Usually found on trees or near wood, one good location to look for glowing resin is southeast of the Marigold Pavilion. Look for a large tree there.The area around Whitespring Station also seems to have several trees which yield glowing resin, as does the Emmett Mountain Disposal site to the east of Whitespring Station.
Heading to the Top of the World and following the ski lift downhill and to the west towards Lazy Way also leads to finding some glowing resin on the way. Sever hopping can prove to make harvesting it more efficient, too. As is often the case in Fallout 76, it’s best to keep your eyes peeled while simply exploring Appalachia, as you never know when you’ll bump into the resources you need.
