Meat Week has returned to Fallout 76 which means that players can head towards Prime Meat locations to defeat waves of foes and participate in the event.
Originally a limited-time event that took place last year, the third Meat Week is on as the community fortifies ATLAS in preparation of the Brotherhood First Expeditionary Force’s arrival. With it active for almost week, here’s where to find Prime Meat locations in Fallout 76.
Fallout 76 Prime Meat drops from specific enemies found only during Meat Week. To find Fallout 76 Prime Meat locations, you should be looking for the Primal Cuts event quest.
Fallout 76 Prime Meat Location
You’ll find one instance of Primal Cuts in each region of Appalachia, making for a total of six Prime Meat locations. Open your map and they should be rather clearly marked with a yellow hexagon that also displays the event’s name when hovered over.
Select one Fallout 76 Prime Meat location, head over to take part in the Primal Cuts event quest and start earning the coveted item.
When you arrive in the event quest area, you’ll spot a barrel that acts as a drum near the center of the location.
Interact with it and that should set the Fallout 76 Primal Cuts event quest in motion. During it, you’ll be attacked by waves of so-called Prime creatures that drop Prime Meat.
Waves 1 and 2 usually pit you against some of Fallout 76’s smaller creatures. Wave 3 ups the ante, adding some of their larger counterparts, while wave 4 throws a boss your way. Not only is the boss likely to be legendary, but it will also come with a cohort of other creatures.
The six different Primal Cuts events each have their own bosses. They are as follows:
- Deathclaw - The Forest
- Grafton Monster - Toxic Valley
- Sheepsquatch - Ash Heap
- Hermit Crab - Savage Divide
- Mirelurk Queen - The Mire
- Super Mutant Behemoth - Cranberry Bog

Fallout 76 is out now on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
