Amazon Studios has announced that a Fallout TV series is on its way to Amazon Prime Video.
Kilter Films, Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan’s production company, will handle the Amazon Fallout show’s development, with Bethesda’s Todd Howard and James Altman overseeing the project.
As expected of an Amazon Studios project, the Fallout TV Series won’t make it over to Amazon Prime Video’s competitor Netflix.
Fallout TV Series From Westworld Creators Headed to Amazon Prime Video
“Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios” Kilter Films’ Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan said.
“[…] it was clear from the moment I first spoke with Jonah and Lisa a few years ago, that they and the team at Kilter were the ones to do it right. We’re enormous fans of their work and couldn’t be more excited to work with them and Amazon Studios.”, Bethesda’s Todd Howard added after admitting to having “looked at many ways to bring Fallout to the screen” in the past decade.
No further details were shared at this time about the upcoming Amazon Prime Video Fallout TV series. What is certain is that the show has a plethora of locations and time periods to choose from that span Fallout’s rich history.
