Far Cry New Dawn has made a fair few headlines in gaming media over the past few weeks, to be sure, making it easy to forget that it is not, in fact, a mainline Far Cry release, like 3, 4, or 5 were.
What this means for the hypothesised Far Cry New Dawn Season Pass is that it's straight-up not going to happen, so if you were eager for an expansion or two to get more playtime out of New Dawn, we'd suggest looking elsewhere.
Will there be a Far Cry New Dawn Season Pass?
Again, the short answer is - no, but Ubisoft has always been rather forward with the notion that New Dawn, too, is simply an offshoot and a side-release, and not a fully-fledged Far Cry entry some might've expected to receive.
The tradition was kickstarted with Blood Dragon, a wonderfully wacky follow-up to the moderately grounded madness of Far Cry 3, and continued with the release of Primal after Far Cry 4. Though Far Cry 5 got a number of additional DLC episodes following its release (none of which were all that good), it was to be expected that a more substantial offshoot was coming, too.
This is not to say that Far Cry New Dawn is not worth your time, mind, just that you shouldn't expect much in the way of additional post-launch content now that Ubisoft is almost certainly looking at the inevitable announcement of Far Cry 6 in the future.
