Publisher Feardemic has announced its partnership with solo dev Artur Łączkowski for the release of Death of Rose on PC later this year.
Death of Rose is the first original game from developer Artur Łączkowski, known for emulating Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro’s P.T.
The game follows protagonist Scott, whose life revolves around keeping a record of abandoned buildings in his search for proof of the paranormal, as he explores a school that’s said to be known as the chosen worship place of a deranged cult.
Death of Rose Release Date
Labeled as the first chapter in Scott and long-time friend and companion Beth’s story, Death of Rose sees Scott physically exploring the school while Beth guides him through a radio from the car.
Here are Death of Rose’s main features, as detailed in a press release:
- A unique narrative experience that goes beyond the tropes of the horror genre.
- An intricate multi-layered story set in a long-abandoned school full of dark mysteries to unveil and complex puzzles to solve.
- Interactive dialogues that will let you shape the relationship between the characters and uncover the revelations that haunt each of their lives.
- Captivating visuals, a nostalgic soundtrack, and a haunting sound design.
Death of Rose’s reveal trailer, which you can watch below, showcases the abandoned schoolhouse as a dark and gloomy place with an unusual amount of sticks laying around, sometimes forming pentagrams. That’s very cult-ish, indeed.
You can follow and wishlist Death of Rose on Steam ahead of its release slated for later in 2020.
