FFXIV’s Moogle Treasure Trove event makes a comeback in 2023, giving players more reasons to revisit old dungeons, raids, and PvP activities. Dubbed The Hunt for Mendacity, this year’s iteration brings Irregular Tomestones of Mendacity that players can earn and exchange for various rewards between its start and end dates.
Final Fantasy 14’s Moogle Treasure Trove 2023 event counts among the few that do not have a regular schedule. Instead, The Hunt for Mendacity lasts until the maintenance preceding patch 6.4 launch kicks off.

The Hunt for Mendacity, like past FFXIV Moogle Treasure Trove events, is all about completing objectives that earn you its dedicated Irregular Tomestones currency. You then use it to obtain new and returning rewards.
The objectives you need to complete simply revolve around participating in and completing activities like Duties (dungeons) that are marked with a Moogle symbol in the Duty Finder.
Using adventurer squadrons or the Duty Support system won’t reward any Irregular Tomestones. In addition, only unrestricted parties can obtain the currency if Level Sync is turned on for a particular Duty.
