It’s not very often we see video games detailed in full spoken Latin trailers, but upcoming strategy title Field of Glory: Empires has somehow managed to pull that off.
The most recent video that Field of Glory: Empires recaps its features in under three minutes, doing it all in full spoken Latin. Those born after Latin stopped being popular haven’t been left behind, the trailer also featuring subtitles in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian.

On top of its rather unique trailer, publisher Slitherine has said that if Field of Glory: Empires sells more than 250,000 copies worldwide, it will release a full Latin version of the game.
To anyone unaware, Field of Glory: Empires is a grand strategy game that begins shortly after the death of Alexander the Great. In it, players take control of one of over 70 factions set apart by different traits and bonuses.
Players will have to manage both the empire as a whole and individual regions, looking after their populace and its needs. When war inevitably knocks on their door, they must recruit proper combinations of troops in order to ensure their armies’ effectiveness.
