Field of Glory II has just announced a new content pack/expansion: the aptly-named Wolves at the Gates. This Viking-themed DLC adds almost 20 new factions and over 50 new units for players to peruse, among other assorted goodies.
Field of Glory II: Wolves at the Gates will follow in the footsteps of FOG2's previous expansion pack, the Rise of Persia DLC, which upgraded the game with a slew of new content in much the same way. Down below you'll find the full feature list of Wolves at the Gates, as well as whatever additional info we've got.
To put things into simple, mathematical terms, here's all the stuff that you'll get upon purchasing the Wolves at the Gates DLC for Field of Glory II:
- 19 new factions spanning Viking, Viking-like, Arab, and other assorted peoples
- 55 new units
- 76 new army lists
- 6 new Epic Battles
- 74 new Quick Battles
- Custom Battles module expansion
- Sandbox Campaign module expansion
- 6 new historical campaigns
- new Allies feature
Of the cool new factions, we can point out Normans, the French, Vikings, Khazars, and Croatians, and the upcoming units we've got such badasses as are the crossbowmen, dismounted armoured lancers, the Skutatoi, and others. A whole lot of great stuff, really. The 'Allies' feature will, on the technical side of things, allow you to include historical allies in both singleplayer and multiplayer matches, covering the substantial time-period stretching from 680 BC all the way to 1040 AD.
Field of Glory II: Wolves at the Gates can now be found on Steam, where it's set to launch sometime soon. While no official launch date has been announced yet, we're guessing the release isn't all that far off.
