Final Fantasy 14’s patch 6.38 goes live tomorrow, April 4, its patch notes revealing the removal of weekly limitations for the Pandæmonium: Abyssos raid alongside a series of PvP tweaks and more.
FFXIV’s patch 6.38 is one of the MMORPG’s smaller updates, adding some final polish, much like its predecessor, before the highly-anticipated patch 6.4 launches later this year.
Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.38 Notes
FFXIV’s patch 6.38 notes reveal that the weekly restriction on receiving Unsung Blades of Abyssos from Abyssos: The Eighth Circle has now been removed.
The Savage version of the raid will always spawn two treasure coffers, while the weekly restriction on rewards obtained from said coffers is no longer in place.
You can also head to any of the Savage version’s circles and won’t have to deal with having entrance to all of its areas restricted on a weekly basis.
Final Fantasy XIV’s patch 6.38 notes also reveal a series of tweaks to several PvP actions, including some belonging to classes like Paladin, Warrior, or Dancer.
Season Six of Crystaline Conflict is set to begin, while the time until the tactical crystal is unbound has been lowered to 20 seconds from the previous 30 seconds.

A couple of other issues have also been fixed and you can learn more about them on the update’s dedicated Lodestone page.
The one “downside” to Final Fantasy 14’s patch 6.38 going live involves a 24-hour period of server downtime, starting during the morning of April 3 and concluding at or around 3 AM PT/6 AM ET/11 AM BST.
FFXIV’s patch 6.38 goes live while this year’s Hatching-tide event is in full swing. If you have yet to grab the new rewards it introduces, you can still do so as soon as the servers are back online.
