For Honor has just received its first year-three hero: the Black Prior, and the character is one of the game's most badass tank heroes yet.
For Honor Black Prior is a class that combines the physique of a massive, unrelenting tank with the strafing abilities of a more mobile hero, thus making for more of a jack-of-all-trades sort of setup, though a Black Prior will also be adept at using their kite shield to knock enemies into submission.
For Honor - What Does the Black Prior Class do?
The Black Prior (Vortiger if male, Erzebet if female) is a hero that is particularly good at absorbing damage with their kite shield setup; one that is significantly more robust than the majority of bucklers and light shields that were present in For Honor before.
The Black Prior can also provide shield buffs to nearby teammates, making them a potentially important support/buffer class. This means that Vortiger/Erzebet is rather slow in pratice, though they can still outmanoeuvre their enemies by employing kite-shield counters, throwing enemies completely off guard.
Vortiger, the Black Prior, is a brand-new Knight Hero that is now available in-game for all players who've purchased the Year 3 Pass, while those who haven't will have the chance to purchase this grim new Hero starting 7th of February for 15,000 Steel.
