For Honor is just about ready for Ubisoft to release a new chapter in this popular hack 'n' slash / beat-em-up hybrid with the announcement of Season 2: Sakura in the game's third year of existence.
For Honor Sakura will bring with it the ghastly Hitokiri axe-wielding hero, a new map to duke it out on, and various new gameplay updates to keep things interesting and fresh across the board. All of this and more is slated for release this May.
For Honor Hitokiri is going to be joining the game's Samurai faction, and will bring with it a terrifying presence that allows this hero character to literally terrify other heroes into submission, given chance. As usual, the Hitokiri will have both a male and a female variant, and will be immediately playable for all Year 3 Pass owners, while other players will have the chance to unlock them for 15,000 Steel later on.
The new map will be called 'Canopy', though no details have been revealed just yet, short of it being free for all players of For Honor. As for the gameplay tweaks and updates, Ubisoft mentioned a focus on updating the Lawbringer and the Raider hero characters. Surely this isn't all that's coming, but it is the central feature of the update itself.
For Honor Year 3, Season 2 - Sakura is coming on 2nd of May, though keep in mind that players who don't have this year's Season Pass won't be able to buy Hitokiri until 9th of May, in typical For Honor fashion.
