Forspoken promises a magic-fueled romp through the mysterious land of Athia when it launches, counting as one of January’s major releases. If you’ve kept the game on your radar, chances are you’re also wondering about whether or not it will be available on Xbox Game Pass or its PC counterpart at some point in 2023.
Forspoken launching on PC Game Pass would offer an alternative avenue to try the game for anyone who might be on the fence about doing so.

Its higher $80 entry price might make it tougher for some players to opt for a traditional purchase, which is where Microsoft’s subscription service could come in.
Unfortunately, no signs currently point towards Forspoken making its way to Xbox Game Pass or its PC counterpart at launch.

The subscription service wasn’t talked about during the game’s marketing efforts, so it does look like we’ll have to outright purchase it if we plan on seeing what Athia has to offer, at least on day one.
That being said, Forspoken could still make its way to Xbox or PC Game Pass at some point further down the line, as part of one of the service’s regular library refreshes.
When that might happen is hard to say without official word from Microsoft or Square Enix, but we’ll be on the lookout and update this article should any new details arise.
That is what we know so far about whether or not Forspoken will be available on Xbox Game Pass or its PC counterpart in 2023. For more on the game, check out its rather beefy system requirements.
