Fortnite has just received its Season 9 update, and it brings with it a whole slew of tweaks and changes to the game's map. Fortnite Season 9 Slipstreams and Air Vents are prime examples of these alterations.
Fortnite Season 9 Slipstreams are a major gamechanger, though the players can't yet agree on whether their current implementation is right for Fortnite. These large wind tunnels allow players to move across the level at great speed, and there's a number of challenges related to them, too.
Far as Week 1 of Fortnite Season 9 is concerned, there's a number of challenges you can complete that are related either to Slipstreams or Air Vents that are scattered across the game map. Find these down below.
Fortnite Season 9 Slipstreams
Showcased above is the current Slipstream map on Fortnite, so use that as a reference for the following challenges:
Ride the Slip Stream around Neo Tilted
Ride the Slip Stream around Mega Mall
Far as the Mega Mall challenge is concerned, however, keep in mind that it is currently bugged, and it will only unlock if you jump into the Slipstream from the position depicted in the topmost screenshot in this article.
Fortnite Season 9 Air Vents
Air Vents are virtually everywhere in Fortnite now: these small, metallic, platform-like objects will launch you sky-high, and allow you to complete the following challenges:
Deal damage to an opponent within 10s after using a Shadow Bomb
Visit all Sky Platforms
Deal damage to opponents from at least 2 stories above (Battle Pass)
Deal damage to opponents from at least 4 stories above (Battle Pass)
Deal damage to opponents from at least 6 stories above (Battle Pass)
That's about it, far as we can tell, so happy hunting, and stay tuned for more vertically-oriented challenges in the future.
