Fortnite has proven that it won’t shy away from crossovers, having featured Marvel’s villain extraordinaire, Thanos, in the past for a limited period of time.
With Season 9 now officially here, curious players have bumped into an interesting finding that could be a simple easter egg, but could also prove that there’s a Stranger Things Limited Time Mode coming to Fortnite at some point in the future.
Fortnite Stranger Things LTM
The screenshot above, posted on Reddit by user stampylongnosefan1, shows that inside Fortnite’s Mega Mall, players can find the Scoops Ahoy ice cream parlor.
Stranger Things fans surely remember that a parlor with the same name was also featured in the trailer for the show’s upcoming, and highly anticipated, third season. While the presence of the parlor could just be an easter egg that made it in due to a member of the team being a fan of the show, it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see a Stranger Things-themed LTM coming to Fortnite in the future.
Avengers is arguably a bigger name, however, Stranger Things has gathered its own share of popularity and a dedicated following since its first season aired. With the third season arriving in July, and Fortnite routinely refreshing its Limited Time Mode rotation, it wouldn’t be all that strange to see the cartoonish battle royale tap into its spookier side with another crossover. Ice cream ghosts for an early Halloween, anyone?
