Over the course of its reign as the biggest digital distribution platform for PC games, Steam has secured itself an impressive library of titles. Playing them all is, sadly, impossible, and picking our next purchase does sometimes prove hard. Luckily, the free weekends that have made it possible to try out games both popular and obscure at no cost show no sign of stopping in 2021.
Being aware of the free Steam weekend games of 2021 that are currently active can lead to uncovering hidden gems you’d otherwise miss. Alternatively, you may get a chance to try out that one game you’ve been eyeing out for a while but aren’t all that sure about.
Most of the free Steam weekend games of 2021 stick around for a limited time – sometimes more than just a weekend –, so you’ll generally have to act fast. Some of them are, however, free to keep. This means that once you redeem them, they’re yours forever. Read on below for the list of premium titles you can try for free on Valve’s platform at the moment:
- TerraTech - Free on Steam until April 8
- The Elder Scrolls Online - Free on Steam until April 12
More games will likely have free weekends on Steam during the remainder of 2021 and, although it’s not easy to predict when that happens, we’ll update this list whenever we learn of a new title that everyone can enjoy at no cost.
If you’re looking for free games you can keep forever that are also given out on a reliable basis, the Epic Games Store has got you covered.
