Where can you find all the patch notes and update details for Frostpunk 2? 11 Bit Studios will be implementing lots of patches and maintenance fixes for Frostpunk 2 now that it’s out on Steam and gathering feedback from the community. The first patch, released on launch day, primarily focused on adjusting difficulty settings and story mode, refining the user interface, and addressing various graphical issues and crash bugs. Audio issues remain for users who are using 6-core processors, but 11 Bit Studios says that the next patch will provide a solution.

Gameplay & Balance
- Weather timelines adjusted for Steward and Captain difficulty levels.
- Initial Trust slightly reduced across all difficulty levels.
- Harvesting sites’ duration reduced by 20% in Story mode.
- Cost for ‘Protect People’ ability (Guards) increased from 16 to 24.
- First Faction War occurrence accelerated to 10 weeks from 15.
- ‘Enforce Peace’ ability now requires a Prison and no longer reduces Faction Fervor.
- Legionnaires’ community action now correctly provides Prefabs.
- New Home quest will not autocomplete under certain conditions.
- Addressed a potential softlock in Chapter 5 if radical solutions were adopted early.
Interface * Removed references to Heatstamps from the Prologue. * Corrected Zeitgeist text overflow outside of tooltip. * Major improvements and enhancements to dark mode. * Resolved issue where the game responded to right mouse button inputs in the save menu. * Fixed tooltip leaks between districts and buildings during construction. * Trust bar now correctly switches to ‘Captain’s Authority’ after using ‘Stage Coup’ ability. * Ensured central notification correctly displays laws corresponding to the ‘Grant Agenda’ community action. * Fixed intermittent disappearance of territory names after loading a save file.
Art * Toxic gases VFX now properly removed during Chapter 4. * Enhanced roads generation logic. * Adjusted positioning of Logistics deposit in Utopia Builder. * Resolved issues with pipe spawning in Utopia Builder colonies. * General art tweaks and polish applied.
Other * Local saves now recognized when game is launched in offline mode (platform-dependent). * Fixed keybindings resetting to default after relaunching the game. * Addressed a very rare crash triggered by saving before opening city messages. * Resolved a rare crash when using Automaton Swarm ability. * Fixed crash when abandoning and reestablishing a colony and then attempting to trade with it. * Optimized ‘Roundup’ ability code to prevent performance issues. * ESC button now consistently closes panels. * Audio enhancements and fixes implemented. * Localization issues addressed and corrected.
