Publisher and developer Stardock Entertainment has announced that Galactic Civilizations 4: Supernova is preparing to leave Early Access this October.
The sci-fi 4X strategy game puts us at the helm of a civilization that’s ready to expand and make its name known in the galaxy.
As its leaders, we have full control, determining which technologies are researched, what policies are enacted by our government, and how friendly or hostile we are towards the other civilizations we encounter along the way.
After a stint as an Epic Games Store exclusive, Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova made its way to Steam earlier in 2023.
“Supernova is, by far, the biggest expansion Stardock has ever made,” said Brad Wardell, founder of Stardock. “It doesn’t just add a lot of new content but transforms the gameplay in ways not seen in a 4X game before.”
The Supernova expansion adds a host of new features like the Civilization Vault, cultural progression, a story-driven campaign, as well as a new starship designer.
In addition, it also includes AlienGPT, “a technology that allows players to describe their own custom civilization and then uses generative AI to create it.”
Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova is set to leave early access on October 19, 2023. The full game will be priced at $49.99 or your regional equivalent, which is $10 more expensive than the price of its early access version.
