The binoculars are quite a handy tool in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. They make surveying your surroundings and planning routes through enemy territory much easier. That being said, equipping them turns out to be a bit convoluted.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to equip binoculars in Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint Binoculars
Once upon a time, you used to press “B” to bring up your binoculars. That’s no longer the case, at least in Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s Open Beta. This time around, binoculars are treated as consumable items despite always being present in an infinite amount.
In order to equip binoculars in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, you need to head into the part of your inventory that deals with consumables. Essentially, you need to bring up your Loadout using “L” and look in the lower left corner of your screen for a backpack with “Inventory” written underneath it.
Next to it, you should see six slots. You’ll want to click on one of them and assign binoculars to it. Once you’ve done so, exit your Loadout screen and press Alt. That brings up your item wheel from where you can select the binoculars. Press G and you should finally be using them.
A recent update has made it so that players unlock the binoculars as soon as they complete the on-boarding process during the intro sequence. This should help smoothen things out slightly, though it’s still a more painfully convoluted process to use them than it was in Wildlands.
That’s all you need to know about how to equip binoculars in Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
