Project Warlock is what happens when you take the development philosophy that went into making a first-person shooter in the '90s, and then apply it to a new, 2018 game. Also worth noting - this love letter to Wolfenstein, Hexen and the like is going to be a GOG exclusive.
Originally slated to come out via Steam Greenlight, Project Warlock found little success in that regard, only for it to come roaring back on everyone's second-favourite PC gaming platform. Oh, it's also positively loaded with content.
It is interesting to mention that the development of Project Warlock is being spearheaded by a 19-year-old who, if our math serves us right, didn't have the chance to experience the very first FPS craze as it occurred, though it doesn't seem as if it affected his ability to tick all the right boxes.
Project Warlock is going to feature 60 hand-crafted levels spread across 5 different biomes, 72 different types of enemies to splatter all over the place using 38 unique weapons and 8 different spells. You will also be able to outfit the titular Warlock with 12 different perks to accommodate your playstyle!
Project Warlock is slated to release on 18th of October - again - exclusively on GOG.
