Gotham Knights will introduce multiplayer co-op play for the first time, where players can team up to face off against the villains of Gotham, fight crime bosses, and complete challenges with an additional player.
What do we currently know about the multiplayer features of Gotham Knights? Will there be split screen support, has Warner Bros. told us anything about the modes that will be available online, and will there be events or seasons? The truth is, for most of this we’re still waiting to find out.
Gotham Knights co-op how many players?
We’re pleased to say that co-op support will be present in Gotham Knights, and you’ll be able to play with another friend or family member online, playing as either Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, or Robin.
You’ll be able to do everything together as you would in the single-player campaign, going through all the chapters of the game, fighting the various villains you’ll come up against, and taking on those classic crime bosses we all love.

There’s been rumours from a recent leak that we won’t link to here in case of spoilers, but it seems WB Games Montréal are working on some extra modes that probably won’t be available until after it launches adding up to four players in co-op. We reached out to Warner Bros. for comment, but we didn’t get a response at the time of publishing. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more over the coming weeks.
Does Gotham Knights have split-screen support?
Unfortunately, Gotham Knights won’t be playable locally with split-screen support, it can only be played with friends online.
WB Games Montréal hasn’t published a roadmap of updates that will follow once Gotham Knights releases, so it’s difficult to say at this point what it plans with additional multiplayer content and seasonal events. It’s possible that we’ll get new characters to play with, more missions, and other areas of Gotham to explore, although we do know that we won’t have to worry about Microtransactions.
Gotham Knights will be released on the 21st October for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
