Bandai Namco has announced Gundam Evolution, its newest free-to-play first-person shooter that aims to take the franchise in a seemingly more competitive direction. The title’s teaser trailer, which you can watch below, offers a glimpse at what we can expect when its PC release date comes by and suggests that Overwatch could have been a source of inspiration.
Gundam Evolution pits two teams of 6 players donning different mobile suits against each other. There’s a mixture of melee and ranged weaponry alongside abilities that each of the 12 announced suits can use. So when can we expect its PC release date to occur?
Gundam Evolution PC Release Date
Gundam Evolution’s PC release date is currently slated for 2022. Initially but the teaser trailer’s description suggested, via Google Translate, that it would initially launch only in Japan.
In March 2022, publisher and developer Bandai Namco Online confirmed that the game would go live simultaneously in Japan and the US.
A European release is also planned, although it’s still currently being worked on, so no concrete details were given just yet.

An Overwatch-inspired Gundam first-person shooter sounds like a lot of fun on paper and would be perfect to tide us over until we wait for Blizzard to wrap up work on it’s highly-anticipated sequel.
