Half-Life: Alyx might not equip players with the richest arsenal of weapons in their fight against the Combine, but upgrades like the burst fire go a long way when it comes to keeping things varied.

Half-Life Alyx Burst Fire
In Half-Life: Alyx, burst fire is an upgrade for the pistol, the first weapon of three that players get to wield as they make their way through Combine, zombies and headcrabs alike.
Like the other upgrades, the burst fire can be obtained from combine fabricators found throughout the game. In order to unlock it, you’ll first need a total of 20 Resin, the resource used to upgrade guns in Half-Life: Alyx.
As you probably expect, unlocking Half-Life: Alyx’s burst fire upgrade lets you toggle between firing single shots or three-shot bursts using your pistol.
Other pistol upgrades include a reflex sight, a bullet reservoir and laser sight, available for 10, 30 and 35 Resin respectively.
