Hell Let Loose players are once again encountering anti-cheat violation messages that result in them getting kicked from games and being unable to find servers on subsequent attempts to join matches.
While this is part of the game’s efforts to get rid of actual cheaters who might be a little too eager to ruin people’s games, Hell Let Loose’s latest string of anti-cheat violation messages also targets innocent players, who are wondering if a fix might be available.
Hell Let Loose Anti-Cheat Violation
The HLL anti-cheat violation issue has popped up repeatedly during the game’s life and some players were lucky enough to find fixes in reinstalling the game, restarting Steam, checking file integrity, or closing third-party applications that use overlays, like MSI Afterburner, before playing.
In other cases, the issue spontaneously went away on its own, making its root cause rather hard to track down every time.
In 2021, the game’s former developer, Black Matter, set up a Steam Discussions thread noting that it was aware of erroneous anti-cheat violation messages that resulted in Hell Let Loose players getting kicked from the game’s servers.
In it, the team explained that they likely occurred due to problems on Easy Anti Cheat’s server or network side.
It’s unclear whether or not the latest batch of HLL anti-cheat violation issues are also tied to similar problems or have a different cause altogether, which makes things particularly frustrating.
Until we get official word from Team17 and the game’s new developer, anyone unlucky enough to bump into this issue can try their luck with one of the potential fixes mentioned above.
