Publisher Team17 and developer Black Matter today announced that Update 7 for World War II shooter Hell Let Loose, titled Battle for Carentan, is now live.
Update 7 – Hell Let Loose’s biggest since it entered Early Access over a year ago – significantly overhauls the games animation system while also introducing a series of improvements to its audio.
“The animation overhaul fundamentally changes how the game plays and operates, pushing realism even further. “, reads an emailed press release.
Hell Let Loose Update 7 Battle of Carentan Free Weekend
Hell Let Loose’s map pool also grows in Update 7. Players will be able to battle across a new map based on the battle of Carentan “that delivers brutal house-to-house, street-to-street fighting in the largest urban environment in the game to date”. Carentan is available in both Offensive and Warfare modes.
Both Foy game modes have also received a photoreal lighting pass alongside overhauls, in Hell Let Loose’s Update 7, aiming to offer “a visual upgrade, fix collision bugs or improve gameplay””.
A series of metagame changes are also in. Garrisons can no longer be placed on neutral sectors or those controlled by the enemy.
Players are now unable to place garrisons if an enemy is anywhere within 15 meters, while enemy garrisons take 5 seconds to be dismantled and
The time it takes to capture sectors has been reduced to 2 minutes, while Outpost cooldown has been decreased to 120 seconds.
