Hogwarts Legacy’s popularity saw its dedicated community of modders showcasing test builds of their projects mere days after release and, following the announcement of a VR mod that’s in the works, we now know that a multiplayer mod for the game is also being developed.
HogWarp, as Hogwarts Legacy’s multiplayer mod is called, is the work of The Together Team, who is also responsible for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s popular co-op mod.
Hogwarts Legacy Multiplayer Mod
The small slice of gameplay shown so far isn’t particularly eventful but does show two players roaming around the same instance of Hogwarts, which is more than we can currently do in the vanilla game.
Hogwarts Legacy launched without multiplayer or co-op support, and HogWarp looks primed to allow players to take their friends on their journey as a student of magic.
There is currently no word on when we might see a stable build of Hogwarts Legacy’s multiplayer mod releasing to the general public.
An early build, which is likely to be unstable, is available to modder Yamashi’s Patreon subscribers.
While we wait for a Hogwarts Legacy’s VR mod to fully release, there is plenty to do in the open-world action-RPG.
If you’re not attending classes, you might want to know how The Daedalian Keys work, whether or not you can influence the house you’re sorted into, or how to track down mandrake seeds.
In addition, quite a few other mods are available for the game, ready to spice up your time at Hogwarts.
