HoYoverse is soaring into the stratosphere with its upcoming turn-based RPG, Honkai: Star Rail. The Honkai franchise predates the developer’s renowned title, Genshin Impact, and features a similar anime aesthetic. However, it trades the Isekai setting for an engaging, futuristic sci-fi adventure.

When Is Honkai: Star Rail Coming to PlayStation 5?
While it’s been confirmed that Honkai: Star Rail will be coming to PlayStation 5, we’re still waiting on a concrete release date. The game is set to launch on mobile devices and PC on April 26 however the PlayStation 5 version of the game may not be too far behind.

There has been no official gameplay footage of the PlayStation 5 version of the game, making it difficult to determine its development progress. However, in a PlayStation Blog post, Lead Programmer Yang Yu assured readers that the release would be in the near future. It’s probable that the studio’s current priority is ensuring a smooth launch for the PC and mobile versions of the game, with plans to address any bugs or glitches in the subsequent weeks.
With that in mind, the PlayStation 5 version of the game could release within months of the initial launch. It took a year to port Genshin Impact to PlayStation 5 but that seems like an unlikely scenario in this case and Yu seems positive that the release of the game on PS5 is not too far out.
