Since its reveal trailer at The Game Awards in December 2022, Blue Protocol has been quite a warm topic, especially for players who are into anime-style MMORPG games. With dynamic combat, charming cel-shaded visuals, and detailed character customization, it’s no surprise that many players have been looking forward to playing this game since then.
On June 14, 2023, the game’s finally made available in Japan, allowing players to jump into the vast and beautiful world of Regnas and enjoy the available classes. However, as with any other game on launch day, many have been met with several unexpected errors, with error code 102 being one of them.
How to Fix Blue Protocol Error Code 102
If you are experiencing Blue Protocol error code 102, there are some steps you can try to resolve the issue. The following are some of the most common solutions which should resolve the issue:
Disable IPV6
Due to combability issues, IPV6 can interfere with Blue Protocol, so it is a good idea to turn this off when encountering error code 102. To do this, go to ‘Network and Sharing Center,’ click on ‘Change Adapter Settings,’ select the network adapter being used, then right-click and select ‘Properties.’
In the new window, you should uncheck ‘Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)’ and ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)’ and reboot the system for the changes to take effect.
Run Blue Protocol as an Administrator
For any game to work correctly, it must have administrative access. To do this, you should locate the game’s Installation folder, right-click on the game’s executable file and then select ‘Properties.’ Go to the ‘Compatibility’ tab, tick the box next to ‘Run as administrator,’ and restart the game.
Restart the Game and Your Connection
Most of the time, restarting the game can help to resolve a variety of errors. The same goes for restarting your internet connection. You can also switch to a different network to see if it works. If you’re playing outside Japan, however, it may be harder for you to connect to the game despite using a VPN due to the server’s restrictions.
If these steps do not help to resolve Blue Protocol error code 102, it may be necessary to contact the game’s support team or check the official forums and social media for any available patches or fixes which could potentially help in the resolution of the issue.
