Crytek has launched a new event for Hunt: Showdown 1896, bringing new traits alongside a large selection of rewards.
The Garden of the Witch event is now live in Hunt: Showdown 1896, coming with Update 2.3 and a whole host of other changes. Similar to previous events, you’ll be able to earn Event Points and Pledge Marks in-game, and these can be turned in for event-exclusive Sealed traits.
Hunt Showdown 1896 Garden of the Witch Event Start and End Dates
- The Garden of the Witch event runs in Hunt: Showdown 1896 from March 26th until May 5th, 2025.
They can spawn either at the Rare Supply, a new type of Supply Point, or locations where other Sealed Traits are found. These traits will be removed after the event concludes. The following traits are currently being featured in the game:
- Blademancer – If you use Dark Sight, you’ll be able to quickly retrieve launched projectiles in front of you. Keep in mind they no longer cause extra damage to enemies when retrieved.
- Corpse Seer – With this Trait you’ll receive a second of Dark Sight Boost when you’re looting Hunters, even without carrying a Bounty Token.
- Gunrunner – This Trait allows your Hunter to equip two large guns at the same time.
The latest update also comes with some new weapon variants, which you can earn by playing the event or levelling up the Battle Pass:
- 1865 Carbine Silencer
- Mosin Obrez Match
- Mosin Obrez Sharpeye
- Custom Ammo: 1865 Carbine Subsonic Ammo
Meanwhile, new hunters will also be unlocked through the pass, the Brujas and the Welders, who each come with two variants each.
Of course, the new Garden of the Witch event for Hunt: Showdown 1896 also comes with a passive log of patch notes. The highlights include changing newly recruited hunters to have 10 upgrade points as opposed to three random traits, the removal of Hand Crossbow Revive Bolts, and various balance and bug fixes. With the patch being so large, we’d recommend checking out the notes for yourself.
