If you’ve been busy hunting, read on below to learn everything we know about the key details regarding both the update and the event.
Hunt: Showdown Update 1.14
Hunt: Showdown’s update 1.14 has locked down its release date to October 4, 2023. It introduces new custom ammo boxes that allow us to swap custom ammo types mid-mission. They can be found at supply points and towers, with a small chance to also appear in arsenals.

A weapon inspect feature is also planned, extending initially to pistols, melee weapons, world items, bows, and crossbows. More animations will be introduced in future updates.
New arsenal additions are also coming with Hunt: Showdown’s Tide of Corruption event, including a baseball bat, the Derringer Pennyshot, Bornheim No.3 Silencer, Uppercut Precision, Uppercut Precision Deadeye, Springfield 1866 Bayonet, Berthier MLE 1892 Marksman, and Vetterli 71 Karabiner Cyclone.
Hunt: Showdown’s update 1.14 also introduces several new custom ammo types including the Scottfield Dundum Ammo, Nagant & Officer Dundum ammo, and more.
The Flash Bomb is set to receive a rework, which includes new priming animation and sounds, an increased preparation time, and reduced flash intensity.
In addition, the Bulwark trait reduces flash duration while the thrower won’t see a hitmaker, while the Flash Bomb itself will only be purchasable in between missions.
Also coming in Hunt: Showdown’s update 1.14 are resupply changes to Derringers and the Flare Pistol, which can now be resupplied from ammo boxes.
The Regeneration Shot will see its speed brought in line with other standard health regeneration means, while its price will be increased by $20.
Melee weapons will be able to perform one additional attack, while stamina consumption is also getting adjusted, in an effort to make them more viable.
Then, the Shadow Burn trait is making its way back into the game. It will be obtainable from the world or dropped by Meatheads, making monsters unable to see you, while still allowing them to hear you.
Hunt: Showdown Tide of Corruption Event
Hunt: Showdown’s Tide of Corruption event has also locked down its start date to October 4, 2023. It revolves around obtaining event points by completing different tasks, which you can find detailed in the embedded video below.

The number of event points earned during missions has been increased, following fan feedback. Progression-wise, we can expect a battle pass that allows us to unlock a variety of rewards, including the weapon variants detailed above.
Multiple legendary hunters will also be introduced including the Burnt Marshall and the Butcher’s Cleaver. The former can be obtained via the battle pass, while the latter is a free progression reward.
On top of that, Hunt: Showdown’s Tide of Corruption event also brings multiple Pact traits alongside the Dark Inferno wildcard condition, which results in missions being set during nighttime.
The latter does come with improved visibility and quieter audio, when compared to its previous iteration. The video below also showcases some of the battle pass rewards, so you’ll want to give it a look if you plan on jumping in when the event kicks off.
That is what you need to know about Hunt: Showdown’s update 1.14 and Tide of Corruption event. For more on the game, check out whether or not it features crossplay support.
