Imperator: Rome is a fine example of high-strategy done right in most aspects, though that doesn’t mean you might not want to make a change or two via modding, depending on your personal taste. This is where Game Watcher comes in, with its aggregation of mods from around the Internet.
Imperator: Rome mods haven’t taken off properly just yet, but we’ve got three prime examples of changes that you, too, might want to make to your build of Rome. Down below, you’re going to find a short primer on what these mods are, and where to find them.
Imperator: Rome - No Fog mod</h2>
No Fog mod is almost certainly going to become a fan favourite for those players who prefer a clean and neat playing field strewn in front of them. This handy tweak removes Imperator: Rome's ample ambient fog, but without doing away with clouds or fog-of-war. The screenshot above depicts the change quite well, and no one can blame you if you'd like to apply the changes, too.
Imperator: Rome - Emendatio Historiae Imperatoris mod</h2>
Emendatio Historiae Imperatoris mod is, unlike No Fog, all about adding more content, and adding it in huge batches. This lovely addon bolsters your selection of factions with over 100 historical countries, modifying the map accordingly. Furthermore, this mod also adds two whole new regions, a new nation formation decision feature, and the annual consul and Senate appointment elections. Term limits and all! What's not to like?
Imperator: Rome - Play Until 9999 AD mod</h2>
Play Until 9999 AD mod is downright perfect for those who wish to do away with any type of artificial limitations on how long any given match can last. It goes well with the two mods above, and will allow you to keep the Imperium rolling all the way until 9246 AD.
That's about all we've got so far, but rest assured that Imperator: Rome's modding scene is only just getting started. Stay tuned for more!
