Publisher and developer Kube Games today announced that historical 4X strategy game Imperiums: Greek Wars now has a release date.
Players looking to try out Imperiums: Greek Wars’ blend of 4X, grand strategy and mythological elements can do so starting with Thursday, July 30.
Taking inspiration from the developer’s previous game, Aggressors: Ancient Rome, Imperiums: Greek Wars begins with Philip II of Macedon taking the throne, tasking players with carving their own path through history.
Imperiums: Greek Wars Release Date
The game features 30 playable factions, including names like Sparta, Athens, the Achaemenid Empire and Macedonia itself, and gives players’ the reins to both the military and economic development of their chosen faction.
Imperiums: Greek Wars promises a “faithful representation of historical reality, political relations, animosities and ambitions” while also weaving various mythological stories into its thread.
Thus, players with generals to spare can send them in search of the Golden Fleece or to untie the Gordian Knot.
An in-game map generator paves the way towards “an endless number of worlds”, while the game’s built-in editor and Steam Workshop integration make modding accessible.
