Rogue Legacy 2 has finally arrived and with it comes a unique progression system, a rich lineage and tonnes of unique ailments. Needless to say, it seems to be a game worth trying. If you want to know if Rogue Legacy 2 is coming to Xbox Game Pass, this is what you should know.
As of right now, there are no plans to bring Rogue Legacy 2 to Xbox Game Pass. This being said, there are a few reasons to think it might eventually happen.
Will Rogue Legacy 2 come to Xbox Game Pass?
Although the first game was a timed exclusive on PlayStation, Rogue Legacy 2 is currently only available on PC and Xbox. This hints at a working relationship between Cellar Door Games and Microsoft.
Xbox has worked with a lot of indie teams for Xbox Game Pass and, given Rogue Legacy 2’s great reviews, it seems likely it will eventually arrive. This could be a year or two from now though.
Why it may not arrive
Although it definitely seems possible it could arrive, there are some reasons to suggest it won’t. The first Rogue Legacy game never came to Xbox Game Pass and, given it has just launched, they may not want to put it on there for fear of users refunding their purchase.
Games rarely arrive weeks after their official launch. Generally, we get an announcement a week or two in advance. Occasionally, we see an announcement on the day of release but Rogue Legacy 2 came out last week.
If Rogue Legacy 2 does really well, it may be worth Microsoft striking a deal and getting it on there. Over the last year or so, it has gone through tonnes of changes so the game may be wildly different by the time Xbox Game Pass members get to it.
