Journey to the Savage Planet is now out, letting players explore its wondrous alien world. As you move from area to area, you’ll likely bump into alien chests that cannot be opened with a simple button press.
Since it’s never fun to miss out on goodies in any game, our guide is here to help. Here’s everything you need to know about how to open alien chests in Journey to the Savage Planet.
Journey to the Savage Planet Alien Chests
Figuring out how to open alien chests in Journey to the Savage Planet requires a bit of observation. Looking at them, you’ll spot three symbols on the chests themselves and three others on the ground, adjacent to the circle the chest is on.
The symbols on the ground show you the general area in which you’ll find their associated scannable objects. Look around and scan these objects using your trusty scanner to which you should be very accustomed to.
You’ll notice that as you scan these objects the symbols near the alien chest turn blue. Once you’ve scanned all three, the spoils are yours. Journey to the Savage Planet’s alien chests reward alien alloy.
It’s worth keeping in mind, however, that reaching certain scannable objects can require abilities you find later on, so you might need to backtrack a bit.
Journey to the Savage Planet is out now on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
