If the allure of Jurassic World Evolution 2’s current slate of dinosaurs is beginning to fade for you then it looks like Frontier is ready to reignite the spark with a brand new DLC pack for the game apparently arriving soon.
This is according to a Tweet from @ALumia_Italia that features a supposedly leaked screenshot of the launch trailer for the ‘Early Cretaceous Pack’. The tweet also notes a December 9 release date.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 Cretaceous Pack
In keeping with DLC released shortly after the first game, it seems highly likely it will add a small selection of new dinosaurs. It will also be the first of many such packs we’ll see released for the game.
Of course, it might not be a lack of new dinosaurs that’s causing the flame to fizzle out, as some fans aren’t that happy with how JWE2 currently plays. A Reddit thread discussing this leak has quite a few peeved JWE2 players who would rather hear about some patches for the game than any new content.
In the Gamewatcher review, we noted the game struggled to find its groove, even if it did do a good job realising the many prehistoric pets and pests you can put into your park.
Expect an official announcement for the Early Cretaceous pack soon. We’ve reached out to Frontier for comment and will update this story when we hear back.
