When League of Legends Eternals were introduced, fan backlash made it clear that Riot’s first take on its MOBA’s stat trackers wasn’t in line with player expectations and that a revamp was needed.
Now, the revamped version of League of Legends Eternals are live on the PBE. The changes made to the stat trackers make it so that they track more relevant stats, can be purchased without RP and offer discounts to players with high numbers of champions.
League of Legends Eternals Revamp
When League of Legends Eternals launch, two series will be available: a Starter Series and Series 1. Each series will contain a set of three Eternals per champion. Riot plans to expand the available pool over time.
Sets can come with two types of Eternals. Common Eternals track more general stats, such as epic monsters killed, while Unique Eternals track stats specific to a champion, like the number of champions Anivia knocks aside using her Crystallize ability.
Common Eternals add 75 RP to the cost of a set, while Unique Eternals make the set more expensive by 200 RP each. Starter Series sets get unlocked per champion and will be permanently available for 2500 Blue Essence or 225 RP, featuring common Eternals like takedowns, structures destroyed and epic monster kills.
League of Legends Eternals will notify you when passing a milestone in-game. Stats can be seen both on the back of your champion’s loading screen card and on an opponent’s death screen, provided you either killed them or assisted a teammate with killing them.
Players will also have the option of purchasing a Series Pass that instantly unlocks every Eternal in that Series for every champion, doing so at a large discount.
The Series 1 Pass will cost 5850 RP – which discounts the trackers by more than 90% compared to buying them individually, Riot points out – while the Starter Series Pass will be purchasable using either 14750 Blue Essence or 1350 RP.
